Requirements

5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, preferably in the financial industry
Deep, hands-on knowledge of Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization (SnowPro Core certification is a plus)
Strong understanding of ETL, data warehouse, and data modeling concepts: data marts, star schema, dimensional modeling
Proven experience designing and building data pipelines to curate raw data into an enterprise data warehouse
Hands-on experience with data migration from relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL) to a cloud data warehouse, including data validation
Strong programming skills with advanced knowledge of Python and/or Java for building production-grade data pipelines
Experience with AWS cloud technologies such as RDS and Fargate (AWS Data Engineer / Solutions Architect certification or AWS Glue experience is a plus)
Understanding of BI (e.g. Qlik) and Advanced Data Analytics concepts
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
Ability to work independently with a high level of personal responsibility

Responsibilities

Work as a member of an international product team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data marts for an inhouse Snowflake data warehouse
Analyse internally and externally sourced raw data to generate BI and Advanced Analytics datasets based on stakeholders' requirements
Design and execute data migration from existing databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL) to the inhouse data warehouse
Continuously enhance data quality and reliability, and champion data engineering best practices within the team
Collaborate daily with the foreign Product Owner within a cross-functional Scrum team
Join onsite business trips if required
